Northwoods Inn Red Cabbage

1/2 cup vegetable oil
3 Tblsp. sugar
1/2 cup plus 2 Tblsp. red wine vinegar
1 tsp Lawry’s seasoned salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1/4 tsp. onion powder
1/2 head red cabbage (thinly sliced)
Salt to taste

Combine oil, vinegar, sugar, seasoned salt, pepper and onion powder in a bowl.  Mix and salt to taste.  Pour over very thinly sliced cabbage.  Chill for at least three hours or best overnight.
